Angel Flight I am regularly flying for Angel Flight Central. We take people with a medical and
financial need to the location where they can get the medical attention they need. Recently I have transported patients to their appointments at the M. D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, the University of Kansas Medical
Center and Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, and the Mayo clinic in Rochester MN. There is no charge to the passengers for these flights. All costs are borne by the participating pilots. If you are a pilot
with a Private Pilot's license and at least 500 hours of flying experience or a Commercial Pilot's license regardless of flight experience, you can join me in this venture. An instrument rating is desired but is not required.
If your are not a pilot meeting these criteria but you would still like to help these people, we have lots more volunteer options. For my Midwwest friends, check out And if you just want to join me on a mission, contact me. |
EAA Young Eagles The Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) believes that all kids should have the opportunity to experience
flying in a small plane. So the Lee's Summit Chapter 91 invites all kids out once each month for this experience. We start with a pancake breakfast ($5 donation requested) and then fly 20-30 minute flights for all kids on a
first-come, first-served basis. Some of our aircraft will carry one passenger, some will carry three passengers. There is no charge for the flight - all costs are borne by the participating pilots. In 2012, we plan to
fly on the third Saturday every month at the Lee's Summit Airport, begining in April, and running through September. Call if you have questions..
